OG 28'S

2020 Class Rules for Street Racing Channel’s new small tire class #OG28s

Entry fees and payouts may change depending on what track we are at and potential sponsor money that may be added to the purses.

This is a small tire class intended mainly for stock suspension small tire cars, trucks, and SUV’s.

32 car maximum field.

Chip Draw random pairings.

First round call outs allowed.

All 16 first round losers are automatically entered into the OG28’s Redemption Race with no additional entry fee.

Bye Runs- competitors are eligible for only one bye run during chip draw.  Competition bye runs are unlimited.

 

Class Rules-

28/10.5 non W max tire size as measured on the car.  Hoosier 28/11.50 Quick Time Pro DOT tires are allowed since they actually are smaller than a 28/10.5 non W slick.

AWD prohibited

All entries must have VIN tag, OEM roof and 1/4 panels, and OEM Dash.

All entries must have the stock firewall in the stock location as well as stock floor pans (including trunk or truck bed) and transmission tunnel.  Firewall may be modified for distributor/bell housing clearance ONLY.

Note* Vehicles older than 1960 may be allowed fabricated Firewalls and floor pans but must be placed in the stock locations. Fabricated floor and trunk pans must be made of sheet metal.  Aluminum floor pans prohibited.  Firewall modifications may be permitted for vehicles that never came factory fitted with a V8 engine.  If you have questions about the legality of your chassis or body, ask before you enter this class.

On vehicles older than 1960, Mustang II or equivalent front suspension may be used as long the stock wheel base is maintained +\- 3” and the car meets the spirit of the rules for the class.  Vehicles older than 1960 may be allowed aftermarket or home built chassis that mimic the original frame rails.  NO TUBE CHASSIS PERMITTED.

All entries must retain all stock suspension mounting points front and rear as well as the stock frame rails and stock style front suspension.  (Unless the vehicle is older than 1960, considered a Street Rod, or has had a straight axle replaced with some sort of modern suspension.)

“Backhalf Cars” Prohibited.  Tubular K members and core supports permitted. Mini tubs are also permitted.

-4 link suspension will be permitted in full size pick up trucks and SUV’s ONLY.

-Ladder bar suspension permitted in cars that retain stock rear frame rails, AND floor pans.  Spare Tire Wells May be covered by aluminum plate or sheet metal.  All suspension and suspension cross members must be mounted to the original frame rails ONLY.  

All entries must have fully functional cooling and charging systems (ALTERNATOR) and must drive to and from the lanes as needed.  Push cars or towing to and from the lanes is prohibited, and if caught will result in DQ.  

All entries must have NHRA or IHRA Legal Safety Equipment for the ET they are expected to run.

OUTLAW TEN.FIVE

This is a small tire class intended for back halved cars where the stock frame rails

firewalls, and floor pans have been heavily modified or replaced.

16 car maximum field.

Chip Draw random pairings.

First round call outs allowed.

All 8 first round losers are automatically entered into the Outlaw Ten Five

Redemption Race with no additional entry fee.

CLASS RULES-

AWD PERMITTED but restricted to 28/10.5 non W tires. All entries must have VIN tag and OEM roof and 1/4 panels. No full tube chassis cars allowed.

All entries MUST maintain a minimum amount of the factory frame rails from the

firewall to the furthest forward front suspension mounting point. Bolt on front sub

frames are permitted so long as they retain the original geometry and mounting points.

1960 and newer cars and trucks must maintain the original suspension mounting

points. Pre-1960 cars and trucks may use Mustang II or equivalent aftermarket

Independant front suspension or aftermarket straight axles.

There are 2 tire size limitations in this class based on if the vehicle has a stock firewall

in the stock location, or if the engine has been set back and the stock firewall

removed, or altered for engine set back.

Chassis with altered firewall locations, and altered engine mounting position- MAX

TIRE SIZE is 28/10.5 non W

Chassis with stock firewall and stock drivetrain mounting position may utilize up to

a 29.5/10.5 non W.

No Wheelie Bars

All entries must have all NHRA and IHRA safety equipment required for the ET the

car is capable of running

Fiberglass limited to hood and deck lid unless OEM equipped.

No lexan/optic armor windows

Must have factory dash, door panels, and upholstered seats. (Kirkeys or other Race Seats fine as long as they have covers.)

Must have working head lights, tail lights, turn signals, and brake lights.

Entries must be prepared for a 30-50 mile cruise without refueling.

No push cars allowed. All entries must drive to and from the lanes and pits.

returns to the track, you will be allowed to refuel, install bottles and switch tires

and perform any maintenance needed.

Index Classes will be run straight off the trailer on Saturday Night.  No test passes or time trials will be allowed before eliminations on Saturday.

Racers must pour their own puddle in the designated burn out area.  No water burnouts allowed.

Random pairings front to back.  First car pulled of each pair goes to the right lane, second car goes in the left lane.

A bye run will be randomly chosen out of a random lane each round.  The car pulled for the bye will wait until the last pair of cars is at the ready line.  Each racer can only draw a bye run one time.  Competition bye runs are unlimited.

Pairings are official when both cars fire up to pull into the burn out box.  If one car fails to start, the team will be given a 2 minute time frame to fire the car and make their pass.  After 2 minutes, they will be Dq’d and the other car will receive a competition bye run.

If both cars fail to start or stage under their own power, they both will be Dq’d.  

Bye runs MUST stage under their own power and break the stage beams.

(NITROUS) STREET JR. CLASS

-4 Nitrous Street Shootout

(Jug Street Jr.)

Introduction-

This is intended to be an entry level heads up class specifically for Street Driven/Legal Nitrous cars only.   No other power adders are Permitted in the Jug Street Shootouts.   All entries will be subject to tech inspection before leaving for the mandatory cruise.  Entries will be sold online prior to the event, and it’s the racer’s responsibility to be sure the car fits the spirit of the class and that your car will pass tech for the class entered.  If you have any questions about class rules or event procedures, please contact Bill Hoskinson at 740-281-6059 before purchasing your class entry.  If your entry does not pass tech, your entry stays in the pot.  No refunds.   If for whatever reason you cannot make it to the event, you may sell your entry.  It is the responsibility of the original purchaser or entry holder to notify us an entry has been sold.  You may sell your entry at any time up until tech closes.  Once tech closes, all entries are officially locked.

All entries must be Street Legal with functioning headlights, tail lights, turn signals and brake lights as well as license plates and  proof of insurance.

 

-All entries must maintain OEM roof and quarter panels.  

 

Small Blocks ONLY in midsize and smaller cars and SUV’s.  Examples- (Trailblzers, Mustangs, S-10’s, Camaros, etc.)

 

Big Blocks allowed in Full Size Cars, Truck’s, and SUV’s.  Examples- (Impala, C-10, Galaxy, Torino, F-150)

 

-No Full Tube Chassis.  All entries must maintain a stock firewall in the stock location as well as full factory frame rails from the furthest forward suspension mounting points to the rear bumper.  No back half cars allowed.

-Mandatory 30 minute Cruise.  Failure to complete the cruise without breaking down or putting fuel in the car will result in a DQ WITHOUT a refund.  Anyone who has entered the class but fails to complete the cruise will still have a chip drawn, and a bye run will be given to whoever draws the matching chip.  

 

-You do NOT have to cruise on the same tires you race with.  

 

-Chip Draw Random Pairings.  Chip color will determine which lane each driver will be in.

-Stock Suspension w/bolt ons ONLY. No ladder bars or 4 links.  

 

-Exhaust systems must run UNDER the car, include at least one muffler per bank of cylinders, and exit within 12” of rear axle.  Side pipes with mufflers Permitted.  Absolutely no open headers, or fender exits.  

 

-No forward facing hood scoops unless OEM Equipped.

 

-All entries must be equipped with functional charging and cooling systems.  

 

- No Lexan windows allowed.  Optic Armor windows allowed so long as they are installed to look and operate like OEM glass.

 

-Fiberglass or composite body panels limited to hood and bumpers only.  No fiberglass or composite doors, deck lids, etc.  composite.  Composite T top covers allowed.

 

💥 Any Nitrous system allowed.  Unlimited number of kits allowed.

💥 Maximum feed line size is a single -4 from a single bottle to the purge.  Multiple bottles or feed lines PROHIBITED.  

💥 No Cold Nitrous kits or pusher kits allowed.

💥 No Billet Blocks or Heads.

💥 Cast Intake manifolds ONLY.  No Sheet Metal Intakes allowed.
